Viola Jones 58, of Port Arthur, Texas departed this earth February 16, 2017 peacefully in her home. Viola was born March 18, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Louis Alexander and Mary Citizen Alexander.

Viola graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. She was employed at Senior Rehab Nursing Home where she was a cook.

Viola dedicated most of her time and life to her nieces and nephew. She was a huge part of their lives and she loved them dearly. Viola’s favorite things to do were listen to music, watch her favorite television shows, and play cards and dominoes. One of the things that will be missed the most is her beautiful smile and laughter.

Viola is preceded in death by her mother Mary Citizen Alexander , father Louis Alexnader , and brother Wilson Alexander. She is survived by her loving sister Shirley Jones (Patrick) of Port Arthur, TX, a younger brother Clarence Alexander of Port Arthur, TX, a loving niece Erna Jones, a great-nephew whom she adored Austin DeWalt, and her two beautiful great-nieces Victoria and Heather Anderson, all of Port Arthur, TX. A special friend who will surely miss her, Maxine Kennedy, her daughter Kandice Kennedy and a host of family and friends.

Viola will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial Service will be 12 noon Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time.
