Lyle F. Berry, 76, of Groves, Texas passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 28, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to Lyle Berry and Beatrice Johnson Berry.

Lyle received a 2 year degree from Lamar State College and was a first class machinist with Neches Butane for 42 years.

He had lived in Groves for 35 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Groves.

Lyle was a member of OCAW Local and served as a Union Steward.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Watson Franks of Riceland Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Berry of Groves, two daughters, Tricia Berry Sandell and husband Don of Port Neches, and Heather Berry Roebuck and husband Jeff of Fannett, sister, Tommie Elizabeth Lansford of Arlington, brother, Milton Berry and wife Betty of Victoria and five grandchildren, Landon Wade Sandell, Parker Elizabeth Roebuck, Tate Chandler Sandell, Hudson Thomas Roebuck and Brinkley Kathryn Sandell.
