BEAUMONT — A fryer unit fire has led to the temporary closure of the McDonalds located at 3050 South Martin Luther King Parkway in Beaumont.

Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to a press release from Beaumont Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and confine the fire damage to the fryer unit. The employees were able to evacuate the restaurant without any injuries. The restaurant will be temporarily closed until cleared by the Beaumont Health Department.
