FRIDAY PREPS: Memorial soccer girls roll past Livingston

LIVINGSTON — Port Arthur Memorial played a solid defensive game in its first District 22-5A girls soccer match of the season Friday.

The result was a 3-0 win for Memorial (4-2, 1-0). Names of scorers for the Titans were unavailable.

Memorial hosts Lumberton on Tuesday.

NED BOYS BLANK LUMBERTON IN OT

LUMBERTON — Nederland scored two goals in overtime and escaped Lumberton with a 2-0 victory in District 22-5A play on Friday. Ethan Landry assisted both goals to Kevin Monroy and Jace Edgar.

Anthony Drago posted the shutout in the net.

Nederland will visit Central on Tuesday.
