Lena Rose Hudspeth, 83, of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1933, in Port Arthur, to Louise Marie Fournet Vaughn and Herbert Joseph Vaughn.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, Ernest Forey of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Beth Vaughn of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.J. Hudspeth; brothers, Herbert and Martin Vaughn; and sisters, Corine Popielarczyk and Cora Mae Forey.

A gathering of Mrs. Hudspeth’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Burial of her cremated body will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hudspeth’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
