Estela Aguilar Guerrero

Estela Aguilar Guerrero, 90, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Magnolia Manor of Groves.

Estela was born on February 12, 1926 in Cuero, Texas to parents Reyes (Cortez) and Cecilio Aguilar. She had lived in the Port Arthur and Nederland, area since 1955 and was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, she enjoyed dancing and listening to Mexican music also love to travel to visit various loved ones and family members, and enjoyed winning at the casino. Estela was a loving wife, Mother, sister, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matilde Guerrero; her sons, Luis Guerrero, Pedro Guerrero, Andres Guerrero; her daughters, Jovita Cardenas, Toni Guerrero; her fifteen brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Nick Guerrero and his wife, Lisa of Groves, Danny Ray Guerrero and his wife, Dorothy of Groves; her daughter, Mary Rose Guerrero of Nederland. She is also survived by over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. Urbano Sáenz Ramírez. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur.

Honoring Mrs. Guerrero as pallbearers will be John Anthony Guerrero, Rudy Guerrero, Jeremy Guerrero, Jacob Alderman, Samuel Guerrero, Dustin Guerrero, Richard Hernandez, Jordan Guerrero and Anthony Guerrero.
