Ryan McDaniel, 18, of Groves, passed away December 21, 2016. He was born on February 3, 1998, in Port Arthur, to Karen Beth Krueger McDaniel and Michael Martin McDaniel.

Ryan graduated from Port Neches Groves High School in 2016. He was a member of Triangle Baptist Church where he enjoyed volunteering and assisting his mother in the church office. Ryan enjoyed lifting weights, baking, watching movies with his family, and going to Kemah.

Survivors include his parents, Beth and Michael McDaniel of Groves; sister, Emma McDaniel of Groves; grandparents, Kathryn McDaniel of Groves and Patricia and Robert Krueger of Nederland; aunt and uncle, Joy and Spencer Rawlins of Nederland; aunts, Sharon Huff of Orange and Karen Singleton of Kirbyville; and numerous other relatives and friends. He will be especially missed by his faithful dog, Peaches.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carrol McDaniel; cousin, Hadley Grace Rawlins; and adopted grandfather and family friend, Thomas Hinson.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Triangle Baptist Church, 3605 US-69, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. Services are under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
