Dairy Queen robbed at gunpoint

Police are searching for a man who robbed Dairy Queen on 39th Street on Wednesday night.

Port Arthur Police were called to the restaurant, 3010 39th St. around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 21. They were told that a man had entered the business with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect left the scene on foot after getting money from the register, according to a press release from the Port Arthur Police Department.

The suspect is described as a black make approximately 5-foot 9-inches tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans and a black ski mask. He was also wearing a green backpack.
