Rodney Elwood Allred

Rodney Elwood Allred a native of Auburn, MS and resident of Central, LA passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at The Carpenter’s House at the age of 84. Elwood was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Elwood attended Port Neches High School and Stephen F. Austin University in Texas. He retired from Texaco in Convent, LA as an Employee Relations Supervisor. Elwood was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Central until his health declined. He truly loved the Lord and depended on Him. Elwood was preceded in death by parents, Isaac and Versia Allred; a sister-in-law, Clarese Allred. Elwood is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Joan Raggio Allred; daughters, Jan Allred Terral and Suzan Allred LaFleur; grandchildren, Allison Terral Horton (husband Keith), Amy Terral Williams (husband Brad), Adam LaFleur, Aaron LaFleur and Jimmy (Boo) LaFleur (wife Latifey); great-grandchildren, Abby, Eli, Hannah, Nate, Ash and Titus Horton, Ethan and Zoe Williams, Ally and Beau LaFleur; his brothers, Thurman Allred and Ronnie Allred (wife Erleen). Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10 am until funeral services begin at 12 pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
