NEDERLAND — Back-to-back nights of basketball had no negative effect on Nederland.

Darrell Jones scored 24 points and totaled seven rebounds to key a 68-54 win over 4A perennial power Hardin-Jefferson, one night after taking a victory at Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

“You like to win both back-to-back games,” Nederland coach Brian English said. “That’s a good sign going into the Thanksgiving break.”
