Early voting results are in for the city of Port Arthur charter amendment to eliminate Districts 5 and 6 from the Port Arthur City Council and the numbers are:

Those who voted yes in favor of eliminating the two seats are 5,804 for or 65.57 percent versus 3,048 who voted no or against the amendment at 34.43 percent.

The total number of early votes 8,852.
