Janell “Angel Lady” Scroggs

Janell “Angel Lady” Scroggs, 76, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Janell was born March 12, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to Claude Borel and Chloe LeBlanc Borel. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired Port Neches-Groves ISD Librarian with 28 years of service. Janell was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lady’s Guild, Red Hat Society, and Texas Alpha Psi Master.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Janell was preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll Borel and Al Borel.

Surviving relatives include her loving husband, Al Clint Scroggs, sons, Ray Scroggs and wife Gina, Troy Scroggs and wife Sharla, Rodney Scroggs and wife Kelly all of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Bevelyn Granger of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan Scroggs and wife Micaela, Fallon Scroggs, Ethan Scroggs, Amanda Lovelace, Kameryn Scroggs, Kade Scroggs, Zoe Scroggs, Mia Scroggs, Max Scroggs, great grandchildren, Griffin, Malerie, and Vincent.
