Port Arthur Police are investigating a shooting that happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Houston Avenue for the shooting and found a 39-year-old Port Arthur man with a gunshot wound, according to a press release from PAPD. The victim was sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

The shooting remains under investigation.
