GA tickets for Bum Bowl go on sale Nov. 3

Port Neches-Groves is hosting Nederland for the second straight season in the annual Mid-County Madness football game, also known as the Bum Phillips Bowl, on Nov. 4.

PNG reserved tickets are sold out, but the Port Neches-Groves ISD will sell general admission tickets at the Indian Stadium ticket booth starting at 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 3, or until the game sells out. There will be no sales at the administration building.

Each customer may purchase up to six tickets each and must show his or her driver’s license for proof of PNGISD residency. The cost is $6 per ticket.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4. PNGISD district employee passes and purple cards will not be accepted at the gate.

In addition, each attendee must sit where his or her ticket is purchased. Tickets purchased at PNGISD are only honored on the home side. Tickets sold at the Nederland ISD are only honored on the visitor side. Crossing over to opposite-side stands will not be allowed. Each attendee must sit in his or her designated area.

The rivalry game is being contested for the 93rd time. The Bum Phillips Bowl trophy will be awarded for the third year in a row.
