Rosie enjoyed singing, dancing, and cooking for her children and grandchildren. She looked forward to the Lawrence Welk shows and listening to doo wop music. Rosie volunteered at Mid-Jefferson Hospital and The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in the mid-nineties and was a very good seamstress.

Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty-three years, Michael C. Moreno, Sr.; children, Vicki Villarreal and her husband, Geraldo, Diana Cortez, Mary Kay Imhoff and her husband, Cam, Michael C. Moreno, Jr. and his wife, Terri, and Michelle Solis and her husband, Roberto, Jr.; sister, Rachel Flores and her husband, Jesse, Sr.; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Frances Longoria; Sons-In-Law, Robert Cortez, Sr. and Robert Morvant.

A gathering of Mrs. Moreno’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3648 Staff Sgt. Lucian Adams Drive, Port Arthur, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Moreno’s memory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3648 Staff Sgt. Lucian Adams Drive, Port Arthur, Texas 77642.
