FORMER CARDS SIGN PRO CONTRACTS

BEAUMONT — Former Lamar men’s basketball players Tyran de Lattibeaudiere, Anthony Holliday, Mike James, Anthony Miles and Donovan Ross have all signed contracts to head overseas to play professionally.
Ross signed to play with Green Basket 99 Palermo of the Serie C Silver league in Italy. Ross was one of the Cards’ leading scorers during his senior year averaging 9.2 points and pulling down nearly four rebounds per game in 30 games as a senior.
Ross’ LU teammate, Holliday, has signed with S.C. Lusitania Expert of the Portugal-LPB league. A former third-team All-Southland Conference selection, Holliday is listed as a starter on the S.C. Lusitania web site.
Also a teammate of Ross and Holliday during his one season in Beaumont, de Lattibeaudiere inked a deal with RETAbet Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian of the LEB Gold league in Spain. De Lattibeaudiere spent last season with Araberri of the LEB Silver league. In 36 games he averaged better than 14 points, eight rebounds and nearly two blocks per game. He helped guide Araberri to the LEB Silver playoff title where he garnered Eurobasket.com Spanish LEB Silver Second-Team All-Imports honors.
