Horace Louis Bullion

Horace Louis Bullion, affectionately known as “Mr. B”, 92, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Horace was born January 11, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Orelia and Edna Bullion. Horace served in the Coast Guard during World War II and retired from Texaco in 1983, after 38 years of service as a foreman in the Railway Department.
Horace was a devout Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister for St. James Catholic Church. Mr. B coached and umpired girls’ softball. He helped coach the girls’ softball team for Bishop Byrne High School and helped start the Bellaire Girls Softball League.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Harvey Bullion and one other brother, Clovis Bullion; sisters, Mabel Durbin, Anna Davis and Eunice Thibodeaux. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lois Bullion; sons, Ron Bullion and wife, Tina, and their children, Anthony Bullion (Rafaela) and Bryan Bullion (Renee); Kenneth Bullion and wife, Jan, and their children, Patrick Bullion and Martha Bullion; daughter, Sharon Bullion and her children, Jason Sturdivant and Lori La Pray (Brandon). Mr. Bullion also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Zack Bullion, Nicholas Bullion and Emma La Pray to cherish his memories.
The Bullion family will be receiving friends and relatives beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with full Military Honors to be provided by the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group.
