The 2016-17 bowling season got under way at the Max three weeks ago. We have gotten most of the recap sheets from the Max. So we are going to hit the high points and then get back on track on a weekly basis. As we did last season, for any announcements, bowling tournaments or noteworthy high scores in Beaumont, please contact Janice Todora.

Janice bowls Wednesday mornings and Thursday nights. Janice will be more than happy to pass on the good news.

So let’s get started. First, big congratulations to Branden and Stacey on the birth of their son Carson. Carson was born on Sept. 26. Rumor is Carson is showing signs of being a southpaw! Congrats to Grandma Michelle and Grandpa Steve.

Talking about Branden, he starts the season shooting another 800. Bowling in the Energy Country Ford League, Branden strung together games of 279 289 and 257 for a nice 825 series to lead all bowlers this week.

This rest of this week’s high scores come out of Energy Country Ford League. RaeAnna Todora led all the women bowlers as she put together games of 226-223-237. The senior bowlers of the week were Bill White with games of 214-268-225 for a nice 707 series. Karen Bellows led the Senior ladies with games of 214-178-183 for a 575 set.

As I mentioned earlier we are just getting this season’s articles for the PA News cranked up, so hang with us and we should be on track in the next week.
