Edna Louise Lewis 88, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

Edna was born May 6, 1928 in Port Arthur, and lived all of her life in Port Arthur, Texas. Edna worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 32 years. She was a member of New St. John Baptist Church.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Lewis, her mother and father, Norman Smith and Idell Smith, 5 sisters and 6 brothers.

She is survived by her sister Erma Smith, 9 nieces, one devoted niece Wanda Wallace, and 11 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank New Century Hospice and Gulf Health Center.

Funeral service is schedule for 1 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at New St. John Baptist Church with a viewing beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Claude Comeaux officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
