Roy Lee Brown, Jr. was born on February 6, 1970, in Galveston, Texas to Roy Lee Brown Sr. and Betty Brown Edwards.
Roy was a 1988 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, Port Arthur, TX. Soon after graduation, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he resided for the last 28 years.
Roy worked in the printing industry since 1990. He was employed with Trend Offset as a pressman in Carrolton, TX for the last 3 years.
Roy was a loving person that never met a stranger. He enjoyed basketball and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Roy departed this life on August 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, a grandfather, a step-brother, two aunts, and four great-aunts.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving parents, Betty and Floyd Edwards Sr.; children, Josh Brown of Austin, TX, Royce Brown of San Antonio, TX, and Arial Brown of Little Rock, AR; siblings, Yolanda (Allen) Mitchell, Robert Edwards, Sr., Darryl Edwards, Floyd Edwards, and Isaiah Edwards all of Port Arthur, TX, along with Brian (Donvolne)Edwards of Norforlk, VA, Trenice (Nicholas) Chance of Manhattan, NY; grandmother, Mary Edwards; Godparents, Jim and Yvonne Edwards; Godchild, Vernisha Mitchell; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Heath Herrera; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be at held at 10 a.m. with services to begin at 12 noon on Saturday, September 3rd at True Vine Baptist Church, 1448 2nd Avenue, Port Arthur. Interment at Live Oak Memorial Park.
