Charles A. Colichia, Jr.

Charles A. Colichia, Jr., 87, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Jennie Sealy Hospital at UTMB in Galveston.

He was born on July 24, 1929 to Anna Lasuzzo Colichia and Charles A. Colichia, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. Charles was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, graduated from Bishop Byrne St. Mary High School in 1949.  He retired from Texaco as a pipefitter after 40 years of service. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Larry Colichia , his sister-in-law, Maxine Colichia and his loving wife, Ethel Colichia, who passed away in July of 2015.

Charles is survived by his son, Danny Colichia and wife, Davette of Bridge City, his two daughters, Denise Colichia of Port Neches and Dana Glover and husband, Wayne of Friendswood, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his two brothers, Jerry Colichia of Port Arthur and Ronald Colichia of Houston, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
