Curley “LuLu”  Anthony Babineaux

Curley ”LuLu” Anthony Babineaux, 87, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Port Arthur. A native of Carencro, LA, Mr. Babineaux has resided in Port Arthur for more than 60 years. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, he enjoyed bowling and fishing. Mr. Babineaux served his country during WWII, in the United States Army. He was a retired boiler maker from the Gulf Oil Refinery after 33 years of service,

Mr. Babineaux was preceded in death by his mother, Edia Babineaux; twin brother, Kirby Babineaux; his son-in-law, Tim Wehking and a number of other brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, of 54 years, Ana Ybarra Babineaux of Mauriceville, TX; two sons, David Babineaux (Wanda) of Mauriceville, TX and Larry Babineaux of Flower Mound, TX; one daughter, Monica Wehking of Allen, TX; two sisters, Dorothy Medley of Broussard, LA and Edna Roberts of Lafayette, LA and ten grandchildren.

The family, of Mr. Babineaux, will receive friends today, Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 3:00PM until 6:30PM at Gammier – Oberle Funeral Home. The visitation period concluding with a recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6:30PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:00AM with the interment following at Memory Gardens in Nederland.
