Wendy Michelle Weber Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Wendy was born December 11, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Patricia and Pat Weber. She graduated from Richardson High School in 1987 where she was a Lieutenant in the Eaglettes drill team, active in Girls Service League, Homecoming Queen Nominee and was voted “Most Beautiful” by her Senior Class. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. While at SMU, she was active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and held numerous offices. Wendy’s love of people was reflected in the lifelong friendships she cherished with her schoolmates.
Wendy combined her talent in communications with her vibrant personality as Membership Director with ClubCorp Dallas. Following her marriage in 1996 and subsequent move to Newport Beach, California, this multi-talented lady continued her flourishing career as a Technical Sales Representative with Wylie Electronics. In addition to her broad skills in the corporate world, Wendy also had a special gift for interior design and passionate love for art. While living in Southern California, she received her post graduate degree from the Interior Designers Institute. Upon returning to Dallas, she applied her interior design education and expertise as an independent consultant. Above all, Wendy’s most cherished role in life was becoming a Mother. On January 31, 2005, Wendy gave birth to her twin “Blessings,” Ashley and Andrew. Her children were the light of her life and her love for them was immeasurable.
Wendy loved people and her friendships came naturally. Her laughter and amazing sense of humor was contagious. She was sensitive, caring and her inner warmth glowed. She looked forward to her many tennis challenges at Northwood Club and cherished the relationships she had with her teammates. Their countless hours of togetherness brought her so much cheer. She spoke often of the joy her many friends provided her, including throwing her the most magnificent 40th birthday celebration ever.
Wendy was a long time member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, where her children were baptized. She is survived by her adoring two children, Ashley and Andrew Smith; her beloved parents, Patricia and Pat Weber of Dallas, Texas; her loving sister Heather and brother-in-law Mark Molthan and their three children: Megan, Molly and Blake of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her aunt, Laura Weber Cook, of Beaumont, Texas and many other loving extended family members.
