Stacie Scherry LaCombe

Stacie Scherry LaCombe, 52, of Groves, Texas went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6th at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Where she resided for the last eight years due to a series of strokes, these strokes dated back to her early 20’s. She had been handicapped all of her adult life. She was truly a hard fighter through all the adversities. Stacie had a strong will to live even though she had a lot to overcome. Stacie was a very passionate Dallas Cowboys fan and cheered for them relentlessly. She also loved Jeff Gordon, the nascar driver. She also loved being in the company of family and friends.
Stacie is survived by her son, Lance LaCombe and his father, George LaCombe both of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, her father Curtis Franklin Scherry, Jr. (Buddy) and his wife, Gloria of Warren, Texas, her sister, Shannon Scherry of Groves, her brother, Brad Scherry and his wife, Barbara of Groves. She is also survived by her step-father, Ronald Trahan and step-sister, Suzette Trahan Harper, three nieces, Kacie Scherry, Courtney Bearden and Krista Scherry, one nephew, Chaz Scherry.
Stacie was preceded in death by her wonderful mother, Shirley Ann Primeaux Trahan, who passed away two short years ago.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Stacie’s life will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
