Community Bank-Beaumont robbed

BEAUMONT — Beaumont Police are searching for a man who robbed Community Bank shortly before noon Monday.

Officers were told that a white man, approximately 5-foot 5-inches to 5-foot 8-inches in height with a red beard had robbed the bank, located in the 7400 block of Texas 105.

The suspect is further described as wearing a grey baseball cap, black rimmed glasses, white and black scarf around his neck, tan long sleeved shirt and dark pants. He entered the bank carrying a large red women’s style handbag, according to a press release from BPD.

He approached a teller and used a note to demand money. He did not imply that he had a weapon and did not make any threats.

After the robbery he ran to a vehicle parked in the Ritter Lumber parking lot.

Surveillance video shows the suspect’s vehicle is a white, newer model Cadillac CTS, four-door sedan, with tinted windows.

The suspect was last seen westbound on Texas 105.
