Bonnie Jean Frazier Barabin

Bonnie Jean Frazier Barabin was born in Jennings, LA on February 18, 1935. Bonnie was the third of seven children born to George, Sr. and Hazel O’Brien Frazier. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital. Bonnie attended the public schools of Port Arthur. She played basketball for the Lady Bees and graduated in the Lincoln High School Class of 1953.

She married the love of her life, Leroy Barabin on June 2, 1956. They lived, loved, laughed and traveled together for 55 years until his death parted them.

Cherishing precious memories are her brothers Frank Harold (Beverly) and Alvin (Rita) Frazier; daughter Cassandra Britton of Jennings, LA; in-laws Joseph (Barbara) and John (Maureen) Barabin; Dorothy Frazier and Florence Barabin; grandchildren Anthony, Alvin L. (LaKeitra) and Alex (Lauren) Frazier; special nieces Gretchen (Edward) Moore, Kem Morris (Billy Landry) and Gloria Lewis; lifelong friends James and Mary Miller, Harold and Addie Manuel and Hattie Finney along with many loving relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Eastern Star Baptist Church on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Lloyd W. Scott, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
