Cymenthia Coats Boyd, 79, formerly of Lumberton, Texas passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas.

Cymenthia was born September 14, 1936 in Holly Ridge, Louisiana to George and Bessie Mecom Coats. She was a longtime area resident before her recent move to Kansas.

She retired after many years of service, working for local insurance agencies. In 1972 she was president of the Insurance Women of Port Arthur and was appointed chairman of the Constitution and By Laws Committee from 1972-1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lonna Mae; brothers, George, Earl, Thurman, Jackie, Billy Rae, and Bobby Coats; and her grandson, Jonathan Holt.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dwayne Boyd; two daughters, Donna Holt and Vanessa Ezell; one brother, Lonnie Coats; grandchildren, Jamie Holt, Jennifer Rodgers, Sean Ezell, Branden Ezell, and Lacey Ezell; two great-grandchildren, Jewels Rogers and Jaxon Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Bobby Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
