Fee waived for tournament

The registration fee for the Hit the Floor basketball tournament next weekend has been waived.
The tournament welcomes teams in 12-under through 17-under age groups at the Port Arthur Recreation Center, 1308 Ninth Ave., June 17-18 to celebrate Juneteenth weekend. Game times are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. June 17 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 18.
For teams that are spending the night, the Hampton Inn is offering a discounted rate.
