Tofideus “Lou” Coleman

Tofideus “Lou” Coleman, age 62, was laid to rest on June 1, 2016 in Port Arthur, Texas after a long fought battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). The Port Arthur native spent 42 year of his professional career within the Oil and Gas Industry, dedicating his last 15 years as the IT Communications Manager for Exxon Mobil. As a faithful member of Eastern Star Baptist Church, he displayed his honor and love for Jesus Christ through service within the male chorus. The memory of Lou will not be diminished by his death, but his loving-kindness will live forever within our hearts.

A visitation is scheduled for 9 A.M. Monday at Eastern Star Baptist Church, proceeding funeral service scheduled for 11 A.M. with Rev. Lloyd W. Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Survivors Include: Wife, Bernadette Coleman, his children, Brandon Coleman and Amber (John) Fitzgerald, and two grandsons, John III and Grayson. He also leaves 6 sisters, Mary Lou (Joseph) Threats, Roberta Thompson, Hattie Finney, Geraldine (Nathaniel) Harmon, Alberta Breaux all of Port Arthur, Texas, Shirley (Charles) Smith of Carey, North Carolina and sister-in-law Julia Coleman of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
