Brian Oliver.Engholm,72,of Jarrell,Tx died May 7,2016 at Park Place Assisted Living in Georgetown,Tx. Mr.Engholm was born in Port Arthur and moved to his farm in 2008.He was a 1962 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Lamar College in Beaumont,Tx and Port Arthur Business College. He was also a life long member of the Lutheran Church,Brian worked as a caregiver and a horse trainer. As a boy, he was a paper boy for the Port Arthur News.Brian was preceded in death by his brother Gary Timotheus Engholm, his mother Alma Johanna Eickenhorst Engholm and father Timotheus Gerhardt Engholm. He is survived by his sister Janice Engholm Romero, brother in law Preston A. Romero, his niece Regan Johanna Romero, his niece and godchild Jessica Romero Cobb and his nephew in law Corey James Cobb, a great nephew Zephyr Preston Cobb and his cousin and his wife, C.B.and Connie Neitsch. C.B, and Connie were also his best friends, took care of him during his illness and were were at his side when he passed. Brian was a strong,kind and special man. He loved his family, those in need; human or animal, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior. Memorials in Brian’s memory may be made to Lutheran Bible Translators or the ASPCA.
