Virginia Wall Allen, 93 years young, of Port Arthur went to be with her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 26, 2016.  Virginia now joins her husband Oscar Leroy Allen, her two sons, Jed Handle Allen and David Wall Allen, her sisters, Hazel Reynolds, Mary Willoughby, Edra Harpin and her brother Howard Wall.  Virginia was born April 28, 1936 to Ellis R. Wall and Nancy Jane Bean Wall in Gillsburg, Mississippi. She was baptized in the Amite River.

Virginia was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  She had an unwavering love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur.  She loved her friends and looked forward to their weekly lunch every Thursday, her weekly trip to the beauty shop and Sundays that included Sunday School, Church Services, lunch with the girls and a good nap that afternoon.  She was also a terrific cook with lots of practice raising three boys, actually four counting Leroy.

She is survived by her oldest son Steve Allen and his wife Corinna; her grandson Steve Allen II, his wife Shanna and her two beautiful great granddaughters Kayla and Kamryn; her daughter-in-law Joan Allen Duff; her precious granddaughters Jana Lester, her husband Jake and her great grandsons Judson and Elliott; Julie Russell, her husband Matt and her great grandson Jed, with another boy on the way; her grandson Michael Allen and her granddaughter Lindsey Allen.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home will burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
