Rose Ann Linton, 77, of Port Arthur, died Thursday, May 26, 2016. She was born December 27, 1939 in Grapeland, Texas to William and Elraina Dancer. She later moved to Port Arthur where she resided until her death.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sibling L.D. Dancer and grandson Michael Demond Linton.

 

Survivors include her sons Michael Linton (Felicia) and Darrell Linton of Houston, Texas; and daughter Sheryl Linton of Port Arthur. Grandchildren include Clintell Lewis Linton (LaMeisha); Brittani Linton; Bianca Linton; and Jayvion Hart of Houston. Great-grandchildren, Ireanna Linton; Ivionna Linton; Micah Linton; and Keya Linton of Houston. Siblings include William “Billy” Dancer of Grapeland; Lauretta Willis of Port Arthur; and Opal Faye Dancer of Houston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 2^nd, 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 with services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where the Rev. Kurt Washington Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
