Winnfred Channel-Perry was born December 9, 1952 in Port Arthur, TX. She was one of three children born to Lawrence Channel and Odella Williams Channel. A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, she departed this life at Harbor Hospice Hospital, Friday, May 6, 2016. Sis. Winnfred was a member of St. Marks Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son Fredrick Perry; mother-in-law, Lottie Mae Perry; father-in-law, Cedric Perry Sr., aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband Cedric Perry, Jr.; three daughters, Leslie Perry, Mavis Calhoun (Vernes), Margarette (Mike); stepson, Cedric Perry III (Chandra); two brothers, Evan Channel (Sandra) and Lloyd Channel (Donna); 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Robert L. Perry (Jewel) and Margarette Richards (Robert); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 am. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Marks Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
