Baton Rouge-LSCPA DH moved to Sunday

Recent weather kept Lamar State College Port Arthur’s regular-season softball doubleheader on ice — although the weather Friday was perfect for gameday.
The heavy rain during the week was too much for the Seahawks’ home field to dry up in time for Friday’s scheduled non-region doubleheader against Baton Rouge Community College. The pair of games has been rescheduled for noon Sunday.
LSCPA (27-25, 14-12 Region XIV) will secure a winning regular season with just one win and await its matchup in the Region XIV tournament at Angelina College in Lufkin. That tourney is scheduled for April 28-May 1.
LSCPA played at Galveston College last Saturday in a doubleheader that was moved at first to the following Monday. Galveston swept the games 10-0 and 11-3.
