Richard D. Shelvin, 29, of Baytown, TX died Thursday April 7, 2016 at his home.  He was a native of Port Arthur, TX and a resident of Baytown for 20 years.  Richard was a 2004 graduate of Hastings High School.  He was employed by ATHT Warehouse.

Richard was a member of Unity of Houston Church.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Gabriel Funeral Home, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  Funeral services is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gilbert Collins, officiating.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Richard Shelvin.

He leaves to cherish his memorial a daughter, Conswelya Ball, Houston, TX: his mother Barbara Hope Gilkes (Emanuel), Baytown, TX; a sister, Shanika Ingram (Oswald), Dallas, TX; a special friend, Bonte Fancois, Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
