Eula “Maw” McDonald, 83, of Groves, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born on May 10, 1932 to Estella and Necess Lopez, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Eula enjoyed her time as a youth leader at her church in her younger years. She’d love to cook, but most of all loved her Lord and family.

Survivors include her sons, Benny Ray McDonald, Jr. and his wife, Dana, of Houston and Johnsye McDonald and his wife, Rhonda, of Port Neches; daughters, Blynda Williams and her husband, John, of Nederland and Melodie Wood and her husband, Donnie, of Pasadena; grandchildren, Ben and Rachel McDonald, and Bron and Crystal McDonald, all of Deer Park; John Williams, Jr. and Stephanie Williams of Pearland; Marissa and J.P. McDonald of Port Neches; and Melynda Wood of Pasadena; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Connor, Kara, Dylan, Ayden, Kyrstin, Gracie, Addison, soon to be Tinley, Kayden, and Kamden; and many grand-dogs, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benny Ray McDonald, Sr.; grandson, Chad McDonald; and sister, Hilda Britten.

A gathering of Mrs. McDonald’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Nederland Apostolic, 1308 South 27th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at Nederland Apostolic, with her interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. McDonald’s name may be made to Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704.
