Doris Jean Cormier, 82, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

She was born on October 10, 1933 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Mary Elda (Thibodeaux) and Amede Mire. She had lived most of her life in the Port Arthur and Groves area. Doris was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and a member of  St. Catherine’s prayer group Deeper Life for 40 years. Doris was a loving person who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael Kuykendall; grandson, Heath Nequent.

Doris is survived by her son, Kevin “K.C.” Thibodeaux of Port Arthur; daughter, Dina Thibodeaux and her friend, Wesley of Port Arthur; daughter in law, Judy Kuykendall in Beach City; grandchildren, Lennon Kuykendall and wife, Telisha, Chris Landry and wife, Glenna, Nicki Thibodeaux, Stevie Cooper and husband, Ryan; great grandchildren, Braylee` Nequent, Emma Badget, Paige, Nicole, Kimberley and Christian Landry, Carter and Haley Kuykendall.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2 pm at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur, with Rev. Dam Malain officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
