BC breezes past WO-S in softball

BRIDGE CITY (Orange Leader) — The first-place Bridge City Lady Cardinals wrapped up the first half of District 24-4A play with a 15-5 in victory in five innings over the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs at Lady Cardinal Field Tuesday night.
The Lady Cardinals (23-2, 6-0) picked up seven hits and took advantage of 12 walks to stroll past the Lady Mustangs (0-6 in district).
Peyton Trapp got the win on the hill for the Lady Cardinals as she scattered three hits while striking out four and walking six.
Madison Neal absorbed the loss on the mound for the Lady Mustangs.
The Lady Cardinals will be at home again Friday when they play host to Orangefield while WO-S will make a short trip to LC-M.
