Phyllis Hannah Ellis 78, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota passed away on March 11, 2016. She attended Fisk University, Nashville, TN where she graduated in 1959 and attended Washington University, St. Louise, MO where she received her master’s degree in 1962. Phyllis dedicated her life to her family and her many passions including philanthropic, education, civic, cultural, and social activities in the Twin Cities community. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Mark’s Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403. The visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, March 20, 2016 at Estes Funeral Home, 2210 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411.

Phyllis is survived by her four children, T. Scott Ellis, Clay Ellis, Lynn Ellis Taylor, Susan Ellis; daughters-in-law Stephen Taylor; four grandchildren Hannah, Leah, Charles and Nathanial; she was preceded by her late husband, Dr. Cassius Ellis, III.
