AUSTIN — Nederland sophomore Karley Thompson improved seven places at the UIL state swim meet from last year.
Thompson finished sixth Saturday in the 100-yard backstroke after ending in 13th last year. Thompson was not done and placed 16th in the 200-yard medley, a test of the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
