NEDERLAND — A person was struck by a vehicle following a traffic accident around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Twin City Highway near Helena Avenue.

Nederland Assistant Police Chief Gary Porter said a vehicle with two occupants had stopped to check on a disabled vehicle at the location and one of the persons was struck and knocked to the ground by another vehicle. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and the extent of the injuries are not known at this time.
