Nash-Rankin Insurance named Business of Month

You could say Craig Rankin began his career in insurance at age 11.
He’d put file papers and put fliers on cars for his mom, Peggy. She worked from an insurance office at the Sears in Central Mall.
Now three generations of the family are working to insure clients that they call neighbors and friends.
Nash-Rankin Insurance Agency employees, who offer Allstate coverage, received the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month award for November.
“We are loyal, trusting friends,” Rankin said. “It’s weird, but we are.”
Those client-friends stop by for a small barbecue the first Friday of each month, he said.
Mom – Peggy Nash – still works from the agency, as does Rankin’s wife, Julie. Their son, Devon, has an office in Beaumont.
