  • Mid-Jefferson County Aggie Moms Club invites area high school juniors and seniors and parents to its 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3, meeting at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Ave., in the Christian Life Center.   • The Port Arthur City Council of PTAs will host their general meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the PAISD Central Administration Building. Lunch will be served. The public is encouraged to attend.

  • Hebert Public Library, Adult Coloring group meets on Thursday, Nov. 5, 4 p.m., at 2025 Merriman in Port Neches. Seriously, it is officially a “fun” thing: adults with coloring books – really cool coloring books. No experience needed. Meets every Thursday at 4 p.m
  • Golden Triangle Chapter Cajun French Music Association will sell barbecue chicken dinners as a fundraiser beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the American Legion Hall, 922 Nederland Ave. in Nederland. The menu includes leg quarters, baked beans, coleslaw, bread, onions and pickles. The dinners are $8. Boudain in a bun is also available for $2.50.
  • St. James Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry fundraiser  on Nov. 6, from 10 am until 1 p.m. in Kirwin Hall two pieces of fish green beans, red rice and  potato salad for $8.
  • Rilassati Women’s Retreats will present the third annual Dr. Winifred Frelow Good Eats and Sweets Link Event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Walmart Superstore on U.S. 69. Link on a bun, chips and water will be available for $5. A raffle will be held for a $100 gas card, $100 Walmart gift card, $50 Adademy gift card with a signed Houston Rockets poster.   • The Widow Flow organization will hold a free meet and greet reception at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Port Arthur Public Library, 4615 Ninth Ave. The event will include information about the mission of the organization and tabletop displays regarding living in a safe environment, recycling, insurance, community organizations and door prizes.
