PN-G, Bob Hope volleyball teams eliminated

BAYTOWN — The Port Neches-Groves Rock-A-Noos have been eliminated from the volleyball playoffs.
Kingwood Park (23-5) advanced to the area round with a three-game sweep of the Rock-A-Noos 25-15, 25-13 and 25-9. PN-G ends its season at 24-16 while Kingwood Park moves on to face either George Ranch or Fort Bend Bush.
The Rock-A-Noos were led by Emily Taubert, who finished with 10 points and 19 digs. Lbbie LeJeune added 13 digs and five kills while Rachel Hammerson added 10 digs. Kaitlyn Gil and Hannah Jones each had five kills for PN-G.
This was the 33rd season in a row the Rock-A-Noos reached the postseason.

BOB HOPE 0

SPURGER — Bob Hope’s playoff debut was competitive, but Colmesneil proved to have just a little more each game in taking a three-game sweep, 25-19, 25-21, 25-14, in Tuesday’s Region III bi-district.
Statistics were unavailable. Bob Hope finished its season 12-19-1.
Colmesneil improved to 32-9.
