Early voting totals show Charlotte Moses is leading a field of four contenders for the Port Arthur Position 7 City Council seat.

Of the 1,390 votes cast early, Moses received 603 votes, or 48.20 percent.

Reginald Trainer received 343 votes, or 27.42 percent; Thomas J. Henderson, 177, or 14.15 percent, and Antoine “Ton” Freeman, 128, or 10.23 percent.

Those casting their votes early approved all seven of the constitutional amendments.

Of the county’s 143,378 registered voters, 3,681, or 2.57 percent, cast their ballots early.
