Herman Fontenot

The gates of Heaven were opened to welcome our angel, Herman “Uncle Herm” Fontenot on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX. Herman was born January 29, 1950 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and was raised in Port Arthur, TX. Herman was a 1969 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and also served in the U.S. Army. He was a student at McNeese University for Architecture. Herman was an owner of Fontenot’s Construction, where he was well known in the community for his unique architecture skills.
Herman was preceded in death by his father, John Ozen; mother Estella Fontenot-Ozen; and sister Stephaine “Cookie” Fontenot-Thornton.
He Leaves to cherish his memories: 2 beautiful children, Tamika Renee Fontenot and Ariel Fontenot. Grandchildren; Branden Smith, Sydney Clark and Stephany Clark. Sisters; Dorothy Scott Baker, Sharon Washington, Noel Ozen-Brown (Rod), Hope Fontenot. Brothers; Sherman Auzenne, John Fontenot (Phyliss), Ray Harold Ozen, Gregory Lynn Fontenot.
Best friends; Rudolph Bohannon and John Willis.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2015, 9-10 a.m. Memorial service will be 10-11 a.m. at Hannah Funeral Home, Inc. 3727 Lewis Drive, Port Arthur, Texas. Services entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
