Kade Harrington’s 282 yards and five touchdowns rushing Saturday did not go unnoticed.

Neither did the last four games the Lamar junior running back has played.

It was announced Monday that Harrington was selected to the College Football Performance Awards FCS National Performer of the Year Watch List. The 5-foot-9 Kingwood product is one of 32 players named to the list and one of seven running backs, joining McNeese State’s Daniel Sims and Sam Houston State’s Jared Johnson.

Harrington already has 1,115 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing through six games. His five touchdowns Saturday set a single-game school record.

He surpassed Fordham’s Chase Edmonds for the national lead in rushing yards in 2015 with his third 200-plus-yard outing in the past four games. Edmonds has 1,046 and Presbyterian’s Darrell Bridges is third with 817.
