Lady Bulldogs make road visit short

LUMBERTON — Nederland’s Lady Bulldogs had an easy time Tuesday putting away the Lumberton Lady Raiders.
Nederland won the match 28-26, 25-17 and 25-17 behind eight points, two aces, seven kills, four digs and five blocks from Courtney Noel.
Abbey Montalvo had 14 points, seven aces, eight digs and 21 assists while Marlie Lee put in six points, eight kills and five digs.
Caroline Noel finished with eight kills and three blocks and Emma Forsythe had five points, an ace, six kills, nine digs and 16 assists. Payton Swanson had 14 digs and Darcie Jones had eight digs.
The Lady Bulldogs are now 23-9 overall and 7-1 in District 22-5A play and host Beaumont Central on Friday.
PN-G 3, Vidor 0
PORT NECHES — The Port Neches-Groves Rock-A-Noos once again found their winning ways Tuesday.
It came at the expense of the Vidor Lady Pirates, who were swept at The Reservation by PN-G. The Rock-A-Noos won the match 25-15, 25-18 and 28-26.
PN-G (19-8, 5-3) got 12 kills and four blocks from Hannah Jones while Jessica Harper finished with 16 service points and 12 digs.
Rachel Hammersmith put in 10 digs and 14 assists while Jade Weatherford added eight kills and four blocks.
Hannah Hernandez ended the night with nine digs and 20 assists and Libbie LeJeune added eight digs.
Kaitlyn Gill finished with 10 kills.
The Rock-A-Noos hit the road Friday to face Lumberton.
