Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 6 through Sept. 14

 

Sunday, Sept. 6

  • A vehicle was burglarized and the drivers side window shattered at Conn’s, 7855 Memorial Blvd.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Villa Main Apartments, 901 Main Ave.
  • Burglary of a building was reported in the 3800 block of 34th Street.
  • A person was arrested for fleeing a police officer in the 3900 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • Two people were arrested for possession of marijuana in the 3200 block of Texas 347.
  • A person’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence in the 1500 block of Sabine Avenue. The driver fled the area and police discovered a passenger in the backseat.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1400 block of Main Avenue.
  • Burglary of a building was reported in the 3100 block of 30th Street.
  • Various items were stolen from a vehicle at Holiday Inn Express, 3115 Central Mall Drive.
  • A home in the 1600 block of Liberty Avenue was burglarized.
  • Assault was reported at Pebble Creek Apartments, 4111 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • A juvenile was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 3300 block of 30th Street. The suspect was in possession of a .45 caliber handgun including magazine and a machete.
  • An iPhone 5S and approximately $5,000 in cash were stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Glenwood Drive.
  • A lowboy trailer was reported stolen from a home in the 7700 block of South Gulfway Drive.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 4100 block of Ashland Drive.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Timbercreek Apartments, 3601 Turtle Creek Drive.
  • A person was arrested for possession of marijuana, one hand rolled cigar, in the 5900 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
  • Felony assault-family violence was reported in the 4100 block of Rachel Avenue.
  • An air conditioning unit was stolen from a home in the 1900 block of 12th Street.
  • Criminal trespass with a deadly weapon was reported at Southwood Crossing Apartments, 3901 Texas 73.

Monday, Sept. 7

  • A bottle of medicine for sleep apnea, Panasonic mini tablet, backpack with belt containing a handcuff case, radio case holder, radio microphone and federal jacket were stolen from a vehicle at Sunset Way Apartments, 3280 Central Mall Drive.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence at Towns Place Suites, 2700 Port Plaza Drive.
  • Burglary of a building was reported in the 8100 block of Chimney Rock Court.
  • Armed robbery was reported at West Side Groery, 1200 W. Seventh St.
  • A person stole $299.90 worht of merchandise at Academy Sports and Outdoors, 8353 Memorial Blvd.
  • Various items were stolen from a home in the 2700 block of 61st Street.
  • A person was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon at Stonegate Manor apartments, 4121 Turtle Creek Drive.
  • A 2012 Ford Fusion was stolen from Stonegate Manor apartments, 4129 Turtle Creek Drive. The car as left unlocked and the keys in the ignition.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2800 block of Las Palmas Avenue.
  • A flat screen TV and a grinder were stolen from a building in the 3900 block of 30th Street.
  • Two coin operated machines were burglarized at Fabric Care Center, 2925 25th Street.
  • A person was robbed at gunpoint at Speedy Stop, 600 W. Gulfway Drive.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Southwood Crossing apartments, 3901 Texas 73.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 8

  • A burglary was reported at King’s Pharmacy, 1948 Ninth Ave.
  • Sexual assault was reported in the 900 block of Rio Grande Avenue.
  • Injury to a child was reported in the 4600 block of Twin City Highway.
  • Two cartons of cigarettes, valued at $103.70, were stolen from Smoke and More, 2600 block of 26th Street.
  • A person was arrested for the theft of $100.48 in merchandise at Dillard’s, 3100 FM 365.
  • A person exited Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd. with $179.40 worth of merchandise. The suspect eventually threw down a tote bag with the merchandise and ran towards to the highway.
  • Assault was reported at Happy Donuts, 3629 Twin City Hwy.
  • A gas powered golf cart was stolen from the 3700 block of Lexington Avenue.
  • Assorted men’s and women’s jewelry were stolen from a home in the 3800 block of Seventh Street.
  • Two people were arrested for criminal trespass at Pebble Creek Apartments, 4521 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • A Nexus 7 tablet, electric air pump, basketballs, football and red radio speaker were stolen form the Port Arthur Independent School District alternative campus, 1030 Dunbar Ave.
  • A purse was stolen from a woman delivering cookies at Regional Professional Building, 2501 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 9

  • A Pioneer stereo and a Guess brand baby bag were stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of 13th Street.
  • A person was robbed at gunpoint of $1,500 in cash and an iPhone 6 at a game room, 3220 25th St.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 2500 block of 64th Street.
  • A person pointed a gun at another person and threatened her at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, 2200 Jefferson Drive. The victim does not want to press charges.
  • A gray pit bull puppy and an Echo weedeater were stolen from a home in the 2900 block of Las Palmas Avenue.
  • Attempted impeding of airway was reported in the 1300 block of West Fifth Street.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence was reported at Sunset Way Apartments, 3280 Central Mall Drive.
  • A small amount of change was stolen from Jefe’s Taqueria, 1700 Woodworth Blvd.
  • A flat screen TV and Xbox 360 were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Ninth Street.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at The Children’s Place, 3100 FM 365.
  • A Crown Royal bag with $75 to $100 in coins was stolen from a residence at Rampart Apartments, 1348 Jefferson Drive.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Gulf Coast Health Clinic, 2548 Memorial Blvd.
  • A 50-inch flat screen TV and Samsung Galaxy tablet were stolen from a home in the 2400 block of Las Palmas Avenue.
  • Graffiti was reported at Rio GrandeTaqueria, 5001 Procter St.
  • A missing person was reported at Baymont Inn and Suites, 3801 Texas 73.
  • Two people were detained for the theft of $160.26 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 3000 block of 19th Street.
  • A person stole a Houston Texans soft side cooler, valued at $20, and numerous Yeti Coolsters, valued t $30 each, from Academy Sports and Outdoors, 8453 U.S. 69.
  • Attempted burglary of a building was reported in the 3100 block of 13th Street.

 

Thursday, Sept. 10

  • A woman reported that her husband was married to another female in Harris County.
  • A person was arrested for violation of a protective order in the 4000 block of 13th Street.
  • A Pro 668 Radio Shack hand-held police scanner was stolen from Radio Shack, 8565 Memorial Blvd.
  • Criminal trespass was reported at Rampart Apartments, 1700 Village East Blvd.
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 6700 block of Garnet Avenue.
  • Cash was stolen from a person at Port Arthur Inn, 3889 Gulfway Drive.

 

 

 

 

Friday, Sept. 11

  • Assorted DVD’s Blu-Rays and video games, valued at $2,000, were stolen from a home in the 2800 block of 58th Street.
  • A person was arrested for terroristic threat-family violence at Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th St.
  • Assault/threats was reported at Fabric Care Center Laundromat, 2925 25th St.
  • Evading arrest/detention was reported in the 8400 block of Davis Avenue following a traffic accident.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 3400 block of 15th Street after a man was assaulted by another man with a lead pipe.
  • Five touchscreen cash registers, miscellaneous dance lights, 52-inch flat screen TV, projector for projection TV, sound equipment, various cases of beer and all security cameras and equipment were stolen from tropical Grill, 4300 FM 365. Access was gained by breaking a hole in the wall.
  • Assault was reported in the 1400 block of 13th Street.
  • A Samsung Galaxy S5 was stolen from a person at Citgo, 1200 Gulfway Drive.
  • An outdoor security camera was stolen from Rancho Grande, 7670 U.S. 69.
  • Police were called to Avery Chase Apartments, 4100 FM 365 in reference to a shooting victim. The victim refused to give police information about the incident.
  • An LG air conditioning unit and Samsung TV were stolen from Fit Club, 3015 Gulfway Drive.
  • Assault was reported at Rampart Apartments, 1632 Village East Blvd.
  • Third degree felony assault-family violence was reported at Rampart Apartments, 1632 Village East Blvd.

 

 

Saturday, Sept. 12

  • A laptop valued at $899.99 was stolen from Conn’s Appliance, 7855 Memorial Blvd.
  • Assault by threat was reported at Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th St.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Legacy Senior Homes, 3225 Lakeshore Drive.
  • Assault was reported in the 3700 block of Blackberry Lane.
  • Assault was reported in the 3700 block of Blackberry Lane.
  • Assault was reported in the 3700 block of Blackberry Lane.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 4300 block of Asbury Street.
  • An assault was reported at Sertino’s Café, 7675 Memorial Blvd.
  • Injury to an elderly person was reported at Sertino’s Café, 7675 Memorial Blvd.
  • Four Remington brand rifles and a Toshiba flat screen TV were stolen from a home in the 6700 block of Jade Avenue.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 300 block of 17th Street.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 4200 block of Lansing.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass at Rampart Apartments, 1700 Village East Blvd.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3600 block of 10th Street.
  • A Magnavox 30-inch TV, mini refrigerator and a microwave were stolen from Port Arthur Inn, 3889 Gulfway Drive.
  • Computer equipment and a piano keyboard were stolen from the 1100 block of 14th Street.
  • Retaliation-family violence was reported in the 3500 block of Turtle Creek Drive.
  • Robbery was reported in the 3500 block of Turtle Creek Drive.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis, after a woman threw a fish tank at a man causing a laceration to his hand that required treatment at a local hospital.
  • A person was arrested for public intoxication following a traffic accident and was found to be in possession of cocaine, 0.32 grams, in the 2500 block of Lombardy Drive.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic accident in the 10000 block of Memorial Boulevard.
  • An assault was reported at Capri Club, 8585 Ninth Ave.
  • A person stole a home video surveillance system, valued at $349, from Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.

 

 

Sunday, Sept. 13

  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Ninth Avenue Station Apartments, 7225 Ninth Ave.
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and assault were reported in the 1000 block of West Sixth Street.
  • An assault was reported in the 600 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A cell phone was stolen from a person at Target, 3100 FM 365.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3100 block of 19th Street.
  • A person was arrested for fleeing police officers, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance in the 4900 block of 25th Street. The person reportedly was found with 15 baggies of marijuana weighing 0.7 ounces, one baggie with 97 Xanax and two 10 gram packages of “Master Kush.”
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence was reported in the 2900 block of Ninth Street.
  • A person was stabbed during a robbery in the 2100 block of 11th Street.
  • A PlayStation 3, Ibanez guitar and Peavy Viper 30-watt amplifier were stolen from a home in the 1900 block of Las Palmas Avenue.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify a fugitive/intent to give false information in the 1500 block of Trinity Avenue.

Monday, Sept. 14

  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 3000 block of 13th Street.
  • A 52-inch flat screen TV and DVD player were stolen from a residence at Valley View Apartments, 5801 Twin City Hwy.
  • The rear trunk lid of a truck was stolen from a vehicle in the 4500 block of FM 365.
  • A wallet was stolen from a woman’s purse at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy. Police later learned a female had the wallet and was with a male at a local credit union attempting to get money from the victim’s account.
  • Criminal trespass was reported at the U.S. Post Office, 345 Lakeshore Drive.
