Two men were taken into custody after allegedly entering a gated community in Nederland and burglarizing several vehicles.

An officer patrolling the area of Sterling Ridge Addition near Hodgson and Beauxart Garden Road came upon a vehicle just outside the addition and spoke with a male at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Nederland Police Chief Darrell Bush said other officers arrived and checked inside the addition where they found a number of vehicles had been burglarized. A 19-year-old Port Arthur man was arrested and bond set at $2,500. A warrant has been issued for the second man, age 20 of Groves. Both are charged with burglary of a vehicle.
